Frustrating Business

"Publishing" a Twitter novel is not as easy as you might think.

First of all is finding the time to devote to posting the novel, no easy feat when you are trying to juggle kids at camp and workshops and down time and new writing time and family time and sleep time and gym time, etc.

Then there is the technical problem. There is nothing more frustrating than finding the time to post and being sent away from Twitter because it is over capacity.

Another Twitter issue is this "Followers" business. I continually get email stating someone is following me, log in to Twitter, and find they are no longer following me. Or have someone follow me, check his/her profile and find s/he is following 1500 people, has near 1500 followers, and has posted only 11 tweets. It seems to me that people follow all of their followers. Maybe my problem is that I am not on Twitter to follow people. Maybe if I followed everyone on the system then I'd be able to say everyone is reading my novel. Could I then call myself "successful"?

I persist in posting with the hope that when I finally get around to sending out my novel I can point the publishers to this amazing project I have completed and that somewhere for some reason, it might count for something.

A girl can dream, can't she?
